Every Maurice Cole board is a high performance board, it just so happens that some are fishes, some are shortboards and some are hybrids.

Each board has been built and tested at the highest level of surfing, starting with boards Maurice shaped himself that helped win 2 Victorian titles, then going another level with the 7'8" Reverse Vee under Tom Curren at Backdoor in 1991. He hasn't let up since, working with Occy, Margo, Taj Burrow, Trent Munro, Rob Machado and Kelly Slater, surfers who ask more of a board than any others on the planet.

Reverse Vee bottoms transition smoothly from rail to rail, concaves generate instant speed and hard edges cut through the water faster, so every board is built to go faster, turn tighter and perform at the next level. Even his fishes, which still feel simple underfoot, keep their speed in weak surf, carve when you ask and sit high on the face instead of sliding away like a shopping trolley. Shortboards, but not as you know them.
