SHORT BOARDS

Maurice's short boards have been built and tested at the highest level of the sport. It started with the 7'8" reverse vee under Tom Curren at Backdoor in 1991, and it hasn't let up since. He has worked with Occy, Margo, Taj Burrow, Trent Munro, Rob Machado and Kelly Slater, surfers who ask more of a board than most of us ever will. What comes out of the shaping bay is built to go faster, turn tighter and feel better under your feet. Reverse Vee bottoms draw you into the wave early, concaves hold speed from any point on the face, and hard edges add a squirt off the bottom. These are some of the highest performing boards in the world.
