TOW SURFING
Deposit : AUD $800.00
Maurice is one of Australia's tow surfing pioneers, and these boards were developed with Ross Clarke-Jones as test pilot. They are built to turn and carve at speeds of up to 120km/h. A 3/4" concave runs the length of the board for a fast, straight centre line, with all the curve for turning on the rail.

-
They are designed for waves from 6 to 30ft, where the speed is beyond what a paddle board can handle.
-
MC tow boards use 80/20 foil fins. At tow speeds the placement, angle, stiffness, size and foil of each fin all matter, so the setup is worked out with Maurice for each board.
-
The full length concave means less wetted surface area, like a catamaran compared with a monohull. Construction has progressed from multilayered fibreglass hulls through carbon and kevlar to the highest grade carbon available, for a board that is very stiff but keeps its memory.
-
MC tow boards are generally around 5'11" x 16 1/4" x 1 3/4". Every tow board is built to the surfer and the waves, so get in touch with MC and Maurice will work through it with you.
