The RV Shorty takes Maurice's Reverse Vee bottom and puts it into an everyday shortboard. Vee in the nose makes for easy paddling and easy take-offs, a hard edge the full length gives extra squirt off the bottom, and a slight vee in the tail delivers speed and carves.

The RV Shorty is built for everyday surf from small days up to around 6ft. The vee in the nose handles chop well, so it stays predictable when conditions are less than clean.

The RV Shorty is set up as a thruster.

Most modern shortboards are built on concave and need to be pumped for speed. The Reverse Vee engages the rail straight away and holds its speed across the wave, so the board likes to be turned and the surfing feels more relaxed.
